Homework Policy
I expect students to do their best job on their homework.
I expect homework to be neat, not sloppy. Anything turned in messy will be redone.
I expect students to do the work on their own and only ask for help after they have given it their best effort.
I expect that all assignments be turned in on time.
When will we have homework?
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Assignments should take students no more than 45 minutes to complete each night. This does not include studying for tests or working on projects.
What if I forget to do my homework?
If a student forgets their homework or chooses not to do their homework, they will have to complete the missing assignment during 2:15 recess and/or as homework. The late assignment will be worth half-credit if turned in the next school day. It will not be accepted if turned in more than one day late. If the forgetting homework becomes an on-going problem, parents/guardians will be contacted to discuss possible solutions.
How will I remember what I'm supposed to work on when I get home?
Homework assignments will be copied into the agenda at the end of each school day and that agenda will be taken home daily. When you get home, you can open your agenda and your assignment is written out for you! A parent/guardian will sign the bottom portion of the agenda everyday so that they are aware of your daily assignments.
Homework usually consists of a math page and other projects/papers that wasn't finished on time in class.
